FCT-NOVA participated last week in the 3-day International Conference on Materials Science, held in Verona (Italy). In this event, Ana B. Pereiro delivered the keynote entitled “Alternative Task specific Materials for Mitigation of the Environmental Impact of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases”. During this talk, the potential of alternative materials to be used in the adsorption processes for the reclamation of fluorinated refrigerant gases was addressed. Additionally, the possibility of establishing synergies between adsorption and membrane technology was addressed, showing the proposed HAMSYS system within the framework of the LIFE-4-Fgases project.
